On January 9, residents and staff at Steuben Center received a great education from the folks at Tanglewood Nature Center and Museum who traveled from Elmira and brought with them a number of exotic animals with them. The Tanglewood crew has been to the 105-bed skilled nursing facility in Bath, New York, on previous outings and every time the residents have a marvelous time. It was Megan from Tanglewood who led the visit and brought with her Rupert the turtle, Molasses the toad, Nevelle the rabbit and Sophie the great horned owl. There was even an exotic hissing cockroach, just the one creature the residents didn't pet.
